Make a traditional Hungarian goulash from scratch

This video shares with you a recipe for Hungarian goulash. You will need 1 pound of beef stew meat, 3 tbsp oil, 1 large diced onion, 2 minced cloves of garlic, 2 bay leaves, ¬O tsp caraway seeds, ¬O tsp marjoram leaves, 1 green or red diced pepper, 1 sliced tomato, 3 sliced carrots, 1 sliced parsley root or parsnip, 3 sliced celery stalks, 3-4 peeled and diced potatoes, ¬O cup of egg noodles, and a few springs of parsley. Starting with a 4.3 quart casserole pot, add the oil on medium high heat. The pot shown in the video is available at www.TheHungarianGourmet.com. Continue by adding the onions and cook them until golden in color. Then add the meat and ¬O tsp salt and mix that together. Next add the bay leaves, marjoram, garlic, pepper, and caraway seeds and stir that together. Place the lid on your pot and sautv© over medium heat for about 10 minutes. Remove the lid and add 1 cup of water, stir, replace the lid, and simmer for an hour or so. Then add all the vegetables except the potatoes and noodles. Stir and add 4 cups of water. Stir again and replace the lid. Let that simmer for another ¬O hour or so and add the potatoes and 2 more cups of water. Stir and replace the lid again to allow your mixture to simmer for another ¬O hour. Finally add the noodles and put the lid back on. Let that cook for 8 ‚Äì 10 more minutes and it is ready to serve.
